Exciting week in the world of video game releases. Who could have imagined that so many great games would all be released in this same month like this? This weeks release of Red Dead Redemption definitely took the show but what about those who had the most publicity three years ago, like Alan Wake. It seems it has almost been forgotten in the media as delay after delay kept setting it back. Split/Second, the Disney racer that attempts to bring the beautiful scenery of racing games into the actual gameplay is out and if you're like me you can't wait to trigger the 747 to destroy the roadway as you skirt past a jet engine just in time. Next week we even have the realistic arcade style racer, Blur.
While many of you may have been expecting this week's choice for best of the week our segment where we crown the games released all in the same week, your world is about to be turned upside down with the one game that no one was expecting to be released this week.
Yes, Red Dead Redemption features the best sandbox style game play seen thus far and while Alan Wake has been postponed for years another game studio has been crouching like a jaguar awaiting the chance to pounce the moment Alan Wake hit's the shelves. This mystery game is from a well known studio, NAMCO BANDAI, responsible for such titans as Tekken and Dead to Rights. However, it was not a flagship title we saw take the crown this week. The game that wins this weeks release battles is an unexpected re-released of Pac-Man. Just released today is the greatest of the great games. Browse on over to
